On the last day of March, my family and I decided to go to the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve.
After being in two weeks of FULL quarantine mode we wanted to get some fresh air so we decided to drive out to see if there were any poppies this year. I don't know if I am being biased because I am born and raised in Southern California, but poppies are my favorite flower and being able to see them and feel the warm sun after two weeks of being indoors, this trip was quite needed. Mind you we went on a Tuesday and we went to the emptiest spot in the fields and there weren't people for miles. It was the perfect way to spend the last day of March. Am I the only one who feels like this month lasted FOREVER. It felt like a month that just layered on recurring bad news. However, I think getting out in nature and grounding yourself within it is needed during these times.
Stay safe everyone, and remember to be patient with yourself, and try to find purpose and peace within silent moments.
