There's nothing like a global pandemic to get me to finally start doing something I love to do and have been putting off for years! I've always loved to write, ever since I was 12 and my mom bought this fancy blue box set of stationery that came with envelopes, post-it notes, notepads, and a blue journal. To this day I still have it with the yellow tulip stickers and all. If I'm being completely honest, it was the character, Charlie, from the book (and film) Perks of Being a Wallflower that got me fascinated with writing. Writing for the sake of an outpour, a brain spill, bleeding of words of the mind and heart on to paper. That idea of having to do so is something I've always loved and romanticized. In the book, Charlie wrote letters to no one in particular, he wrote them because it made him not feel alone and it was so that he could somehow make sense of everything he was going through. He always addressed the letter to a "friend" even if no one would ever read it, and it was something I always found so profound. Now you must be imagining me as the cliche Tumblr/hipster girl that wears a flower crown and Doc Martens and owns a vinyl by The Smiths but only knows one song off the record. Well, that couldn't be farther from the truth... mostly.
My name is Giselle and I'm 21 years old. I came up with the name (littlelostelle) almost 3 years ago. "Little" because I am 4'11so anticipate a lot of petite fashion talk. "Lost" because I am constantly in the state of losing and finding myself again so I have lots of mental health chats planned, and "Elle" which was the nickname a friend gave to me years ago and it's the last part of my name Gis(elle). As for an introduction, I am going to keep mine short for now.
I've decided to take my journaling and my everyday writing of to-do lists and favorite quotes and themes of books (that I keep to myself) and take all that writing to the next level. I hope to find my voice with this whole Blogging thing. Whoever is reading this, IF you are reading this, I hope you stay awhile. :)
